This Saturday, the CVAR-Severis Foundation will be hosting a creative workshop designed to immerse children in these age-old tales. Scheduled from 11am to 12.30pm, the event is tailored for kids aged 6 to 12 and promises to be both educational and entertaining.

Goblins: A Playful Introduction to Cypriot Folklore

Led by Kyriakos Theocharous, the workshop aims to illuminate how past generations of Cypriots dealt with the antics of goblins. Through engaging role-playing activities, participants will explore the folklore surrounding these creatures and the clever methods used to ward them off.

Interactive Learning Through Fun

Children will have the opportunity to embody little goblins, bringing their mischievous spirit to life within the museum’s walls. They’ll engage in games that incorporate words from the Cypriot dialect, enriching their vocabulary while enjoying the playful atmosphere.

The workshop also encourages creativity, as young attendees will craft their own goblins and create short theatrical scenes that bring Cypriot traditions to the forefront. This hands-on experience is designed not only to entertain but to foster an appreciation for local culture.

A Fitting Conclusion to Festivities

This event marks the end of a series of festive activities at the CVAR-Severis Foundation, a space dedicated to celebrating and educating about Cypriot heritage. As the holiday season wraps up, this workshop serves as a gateway into the new year, promising fresh experiences and opportunities for learning at the museum.

For those interested in participating, the workshop costs €10 and will be conducted in Greek. Interested parents can register by calling 22-300991.
