Women in: Workshops Focused on Empowerment
Each workshop is crafted to address practical aspects of empowerment. Attendees will explore various themes, including the amplification of women’s voices in the workplace, navigating non-technical career paths in technology, and building financial confidence.
Communication Patterns in the Workplace
The first workshop, led by Biljana Kocevska Adam, Senior Associate Director at MUFG Investor Services, will run from 11.00 to 11.50. This session will delve into how communication dynamics in the workplace can either enhance or hinder women’s contributions. Participants will engage in storytelling and group dialogues aimed at cultivating more inclusive conversations, leaving with practical techniques to support colleagues in meetings and mentorship.
Navigating Non-Technical Career Paths in Tech
From 12.00 to 12.50, Anna Gurina, Chief Revenue Officer at INXY Payments, will guide attendees through the second workshop. This session will focus on charting non-technical career paths within the technology sector, highlighting the importance of business, operations, and client-facing skills. Attendees are encouraged to submit their own career cases for discussion, and by the end of the workshop, they will receive a list of 20 non-technical roles in tech, alongside strategies for translating their skills into impactful business language.
Financial Wellbeing for Professional Growth
The afternoon session, led by Maryam Kazemi Manesh, Senior Project Delivery Manager at GILAWA Ltd., will take place from 13.00 to 13.50. This interactive workshop will explore the connection between financial wellbeing and personal growth. Participants will learn strategies for setting meaningful financial goals and how to achieve them, fostering a renewed perspective on financial independence.
Investing for Long-term Wealth
The final workshop, scheduled from 14.00 to 14.50, will be presented by Michaella Savva, Manager of Wealth Management at Eurobank. This session aims to empower women to transition from saving to structured investing, addressing the ongoing wealth gap. By presenting data and practical insights, the workshop will guide women in taking actionable steps toward long-term financial growth.
All workshops will run in parallel with the main stage discussions at The Loft Bar & Restaurant (UNIC rooftop), creating an intimate setting for networking and skill enhancement. While attendance to the summit is free with pre-registration, each workshop requires separate sign-up due to limited seating.
The summit is organised under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, with support from various sponsors in the tech and business community. Notable supporters include MUFG Investor Services, the University of Nicosia, and Eurobank, which will act as a workshop partner. Community partners such as Girls in STEAM Academy and Unity Growth will also contribute to the event’s success.
