The water supply in Larnaca’s seafront area is disrupted today as improvement works are underway on the water supply network. The Larnaca District Local Government Organisation (EOA) has announced that the interruption will last until 2:00pm on October 30.
- The improvements are part of a broader strategy to enhance water supply systems across Larnaca, ensuring that residents have reliable access to drinking water in the future.
The affected region spans from the old GSZ to Mackenzie, specifically south of Artemidos Avenue, within the Larnaca Municipal District. This necessary infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the water supply network.
In light of the interruption, the EOA has urged residents and businesses to exercise caution regarding water usage. Consumers are advised to rely on stored water from private tanks to meet their needs until the desalination unit resumes operation.
The EOA has acknowledged the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the community’s understanding as these essential works are carried out. The organisation emphasises that efficient water use during this period will play a significant role in alleviating the ongoing water shortage faced by the region.
