TechIsland has launched the TechIsland TechPro Community, a new platform aimed at Cyprus technology professionals. Announced on Thursday, this initiative is designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among experts in the tech industry as the influence of technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity continues to grow.

The TechPro Community is established under the umbrella of TechIsland, the largest tech association in Cyprus. It aims to unite technology professionals who are actively engaged in various sectors of the tech and innovation industry.

Members of the TechPro Community include Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), technology architects, data scientists, AI specialists, cybersecurity experts, DevOps and platform engineers, software developers, UX designers, and digital transformation professionals. This mix of roles is intended to create a peer-driven environment for meaningful exchanges and discussions.

The primary aim of the TechIsland TechPro Community is to provide a space for its members to share insights, discuss real-world challenges, and collectively explore the future of digital transformation, AI governance, and emerging technologies. Through open dialogue and experience-sharing, the community seeks to foster collaboration across various disciplines and levels of seniority.

Unlike traditional networking initiatives, the TechPro Community is designed to be a trusted environment that prioritises substance and forward-looking discussions. Members will have access to a dedicated Telegram group, allowing for continuous interaction and rapid knowledge exchange. Additionally, quarterly in-person meetups will be held, featuring curated panel discussions followed by informal networking opportunities.

The community will be spearheaded by Liza Charalambous, co-founder and CTO of Malloc; Christina Orfanidou, head of group AI at Columbia Group; and Ivan Sysoev, head of AI at Ecommpay. Together, they bring a wealth of hands-on expertise in software engineering, AI strategy, and applied innovation, ensuring that discussions remain relevant and practical for senior technology professionals.
