Showers are expected in western Cyprus today, as weather conditions shift across the island. Partly to mainly cloudy skies will dominate, bringing localised rain and the possibility of snow or sleet in the higher peaks of the Troodos Mountains.

Showers: Weather Conditions Across Cyprus

Initially, winds will blow from the southwest to west at weak to moderate levels, expected to range from 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale. However, as the day progresses, these winds will strengthen, transitioning to moderate to strong conditions from the south to southwest, measuring between 4 and 5 Beaufort.

Sea Conditions and Temperatures

The sea is predicted to be slightly rough to rough, making maritime activities potentially challenging. In terms of temperature, the mercury is set to reach 18°C inland, approximately 19°C along the coast, and a cooler 7°C in the higher mountainous areas.

Looking Ahead: Weekend Weather Predictions

As the week continues, Friday and Saturday will see continued partly to mainly cloudy conditions with localised showers and even isolated thunderstorms expected. By Sunday, the forecast indicates predominantly cloudy skies with further isolated showers possible.
