Along with the G3 rifle and the Kalashnikov-style weapon, police also seized a German-made pistol and assorted ammunition, all of which were concealed within the house. According to a police statement, the discovery raises significant concerns about the safety and security in the area.

As of Thursday afternoon, Charalambos Antoniou had not been located, and the police continue their search for him. Sources indicate that he has a history of serious offences, which adds urgency to the investigation.

The weapons have been sent for ballistic testing to ascertain whether they have been involved in any recent criminal activities in Larnaca or elsewhere. Additionally, officers are conducting DNA tests on the recovered items and scrutinising CCTV footage in Oroklini to track Antoniou’s movements and contacts over the past few days.
