head injury — Police were called to assist a couple after their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter sustained a head injury from a fall. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, shortly after 1 pm, when the child’s father reached out to the Nicosia Police Directorate seeking urgent help.

According to the father, he and his wife were en route to Nicosia General Hospital when they recognised the need for immediate assistance. The couple was located by Z Team officers in the Anthoupolis area of Lakatameia.

The police officers quickly escorted the family to the hospital’s accident and emergency department, ensuring that the child received swift medical attention. Upon arrival, the girl underwent first aid and a series of medical examinations.

Fortunately, initial assessments indicated that she had not sustained any serious injuries. However, as a precautionary measure, the young girl was kept in hospital for monitoring to ensure her continued wellbeing.
