Larnaca drug: Coordinated Operation Unfolds

On a Saturday morning, police received intelligence about illegal drug activities at the older suspect’s residence. The operation commenced around 10:00 am, when officers intercepted the 44-year-old as he left his home to enter his vehicle.

Significant Drug Haul Discovered

With a judicial warrant in hand, the YKAN officers searched the suspect’s property. Their efforts unveiled a considerable cache of narcotics and related paraphernalia, including:

  • 42 grams of crystalline methamphetamine
  • 29 MDMA pills (Ecstasy)
  • 14 grams of herbal cannabis
  • Two precision scales with methamphetamine traces
  • Smoking equipment
  • €240 in cash

In addition, a search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a hand-rolled cigarette containing a mixture of cannabis and industrial tobacco.

Buyer Arrested at the Scene

As the search was underway, investigators apprehended a 26-year-old man who arrived at the property. It was determined that he was there to purchase methamphetamine from the older suspect.

Both individuals were arrested for flagrant offences at the scene and subsequently re-arrested under judicial warrants. The Larnaca branch of YKAN is now leading the ongoing investigation into this drug distribution case.
