Tarantino plans to create a laser-engraved installation that will be prominently displayed in a central window front. The artwork will not only illuminate the evening landscape but will also be dismantled after the event, allowing visitors to take home small pieces as keepsakes, thus making the art accessible to the public.
Steve Messam’s Bold Environmental Commentary
Across the Atlantic, UK-based artist Steve Messam is celebrated for his large-scale and ephemeral installations that often tackle environmental concerns. His works are characterised by their unexpected appearances, often described as “bigger than a house,” which invite audiences to reimagine their surroundings.
Having visited Larnaca during the summer, Messam is developing a site-specific installation for a historic building in the city. The exact location will remain a surprise until installation day, adding an element of intrigue for the public, who will be able to experience the transformative power of art in a communal space.

The artistic director of the Larnaca Biennale, Vassilis Vassiliades, expresses excitement about the diverse array of creators participating. He emphasises the importance of having artists engage with Larnaca’s unique cultural identity in real time, enhancing the authenticity of their works.
