Christina Agapiou, a dedicated volunteer at the beach, expressed her dismay on social media, highlighting the stark contrast between the municipality’s goodwill and the reckless behaviour of some individuals. She stated, “This is not mischief or a joke. It’s vandalism,” emphasising that the actions of a few could ultimately deprive the community of these facilities.
Agapiou pointed out the irony in the situation, questioning why people who would not damage their own belongings would willingly destroy communal property. She expressed her hope that those engaging in vandalism would reconsider their actions, recognising that such behaviour could lead to a lack of amenities at the beach in the future.

Agapiou noted that while calls for improved infrastructure are welcome, they must be accompanied by a commitment to respect shared public property.
