Police crime: Enhanced Police Presence Across Urban Areas
The operations were marked by an intensified police presence, particularly in urban areas, where officers concentrated on key locations to maintain public order. The proactive approach aims to reinforce the sense of security among citizens, with authorities keen to deter potential criminal activities.
Diverse Offences Lead to Multiple Arrests
Those apprehended faced a variety of charges, including burglary, theft, illegal possession of a knife, domestic violence, and assault against a police officer. Such offences highlight the breadth of criminal activities that law enforcement is actively tackling.
Thorough Inspections and Traffic Enforcement
As part of the operations, police inspected 418 vehicles and checked a total of 608 individuals. In addition, 33 premises were scrutinised to combat unlawful activities, resulting in three reports filed. The enforcement also extended to traffic regulations, with police issuing 195 fines for various violations, including 36 speeding offences.
Alcohol and Drug Testing Initiatives
In their efforts to ensure road safety, police tested 68 drivers for alcohol consumption, with one individual reported for driving under the influence. Additionally, one driver was checked for drug use, reflecting a comprehensive approach to traffic enforcement during the operations.
