The operation commenced with searches of a residential property, several other premises, and a number of vehicles. During this extensive raid, officers successfully seized approximately 400 grams of cocaine and around 150 grams of cannabis. The operation also uncovered precision scales, ten mobile phones, and a significant cache of firearms, including a pistol fitted with a silencer.
In addition to the drugs and weapons, the police recovered €9,605 in cash and three vehicles, all believed to be linked to the ongoing drug trafficking activities. The sheer scale of the operation reflects the ongoing commitment of the authorities to combat drug-related crime in the region.
The Drug Law Enforcement Unit in Larnaca is continuing its investigations, which will include a thorough financial inquiry into the items that were seized during the raid. This step is crucial in understanding the broader network and financial operations behind the trafficking activities.
As law enforcement ramps up its efforts, the community is reminded of the importance of reporting suspicious activities that may relate to drug trafficking or related crimes. The operation highlights the significant strides being made in the fight against drug-related crime in Cyprus.
