- Student housing startup MyStudentFlat is set to participate in the esteemed KPMG StartUp Innovation Lab in 2026, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey.
In a recent announcement, the company highlighted several achievements, including a strategic partnership with UNIPLACES and winning first place at the 6th NBG SEEDS StartUp Bootcamp. These developments are poised to redefine how students search for and book quality housing near their universities across Cyprus, Greece, and beyond.
Mystudentflat: Strategic Partnership with UNIPLACES
At the heart of MyStudentFlat’s latest news is its newly established partnership with UNIPLACES, a prominent player in the student housing sector throughout Central Europe and the United Kingdom. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Portugal, UNIPLACES boasts over 40,000 student apartments available for rent across several countries, including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and the UK.
This collaboration will enable UNIPLACES to enhance its presence in Greece and Cyprus, as properties listed on MyStudentFlat will now be accessible to UNIPLACES users. In turn, MyStudentFlat will benefit from UNIPLACES’ extensive portfolio, providing more accommodation options for Greek and Cypriot students wishing to study abroad.
A Milestone Achievement
MyStudentFlat’s recent victory at the 6th StartUp Bootcamp, part of the National Bank of Greece’s NBG SEEDS initiative, underscores its innovative approach. Competing against 144 startups, MyStudentFlat emerged as the top performer, a testament to both its business model and the burgeoning strength of the Cypriot startup ecosystem.
Entering the KPMG StartUp Innovation Lab
In addition to its recent accolades, MyStudentFlat’s acceptance into the KPMG StartUp Innovation Lab (KPMG SIL) solidifies its position in the competitive landscape of startups. Launched in 2025 under KPMG Cyprus, this programme is recognised as one of the premier startup accelerators in the country. MyStudentFlat is among five startups selected for the second cohort, chosen from a vast pool of applicants.
Participating in the KPMG SIL will provide MyStudentFlat with invaluable access to expert advisory services, mentorship, and strategic guidance in key areas of business development, all delivered by seasoned professionals from KPMG Cyprus. Upon completing the programme in June 2026, MyStudentFlat will have the opportunity to present its business case to potential investors within KPMG’s extensive network, aiming to secure funding for its next growth phase.
