Police Investigation Underway

The response from law enforcement was swift. Major crime units from both Limassol CID and the Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Department were dispatched to the scene to gather evidence. A coordinated operation involving all Limassol police divisions is now underway to locate the perpetrators.

In a significant development, police discovered a burnt van in the Germasogeia area, believed to have been used by the assailants to make their escape. This area has been cordoned off for thorough examination as investigators search for clues.

CCTV Footage Sought

Authorities are actively reviewing CCTV footage from the Sfalangiotissa area and neighbouring districts. This footage is crucial for mapping out the route taken by the attackers before and after the shooting.

A Gangland Score-Settling?

Police sources indicate that all evidence points towards a contract killing, consistent with the patterns of gangland violence in the region. The nature of the attack raises questions about possible motives and connections to organised crime.
