As the pursuit unfolded, the driver exhibited increasingly dangerous behaviour, prompting officers to follow him closely. The chase reached a climax when the driver collided with a patrol car, bringing the pursuit to an abrupt end.
Upon apprehension, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and uncovered a range of items. Among the findings were several watches, various pieces of gold jewellery, car keys, and a knife. Additionally, two batons and a small quantity of cannabis were also discovered inside the car.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of property, as the items found raised significant concerns about their origins. Following this, he underwent a preliminary drug test, which returned positive, indicating the presence of illegal substances.
