During the confrontation, the 39-year-old sustained serious injuries, including a head laceration, a skull fracture, and fractured ribs. The violence left him requiring immediate medical attention, and he is now recovering at a private hospital.

Police were alerted to the incident around 7 p.m. on the same day, after receiving reports of an injured man. Officers quickly located the two witnesses, aged 23 and 41, who detailed the events leading to the assault.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man on February 6, 2026. He now faces numerous charges, including assault causing grievous bodily harm, issuing threats, and theft. As the investigation continues, the suspect remains in police custody while the Limassol CID gathers further evidence.
