Among those arrested, one person was taken in for domestic violence, while another was apprehended for public intoxication and assaulting police officers. Additionally, officers detained a suspect for drug possession and three individuals for staying illegally in the Republic. Furthermore, three people wanted on outstanding warrants for unpaid fines were also taken into custody.

Extensive Vehicle and Identity Checks

During the sweep, police stopped a total of 458 vehicles and conducted identity checks on 569 passengers. This comprehensive approach was part of a broader strategy to address delinquent behaviour prevalent in urban centres.

Traffic Violations and Citations

The traffic checks resulted in 140 citations for various offences, with drink-driving being a significant concern. Out of those cited, 29 drivers were booked for drink-driving, while an additional 40 traffic cases are still under investigation. Police confirmed that 12 vehicles were seized during the operation.
