Methodology Behind the CPI
The CPI is based on the prices of 805 goods and services collected throughout major cities including Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos. Prices for essential items such as fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and fuels are gathered weekly, while the remaining prices are collected monthly, ensuring a comprehensive reflection of consumer spending patterns across Cyprus.
