Just before 7pm, police officers, in collaboration with the Customs Department, intercepted the suspect as he arrived in Cyprus from abroad. During questioning, the man reportedly admitted to carrying drugs within his body, prompting further medical examination.
Upon arrival at Larnaca General Hospital, doctors discovered multiple foreign objects inside him. As part of the medical procedure, he has since expelled six egg-shaped packages containing cocaine, weighing approximately 60 grams in total.
Today, a court session was held at the hospital, leading to an eight-day remand order for the suspect to facilitate ongoing investigations. He remains under police guard while receiving medical treatment.
