The suspects, aged 19 and 17, were taken into custody around 11:45 am on Sunday under judicial warrants. This intervention follows an incident that occurred on Thursday, August 21, when a 31-year-old man was assaulted by a colleague.

According to police reports, the attack unfolded at approximately 5:30 pm at a facility in the Protaras area. The victim was allegedly punched in the face by the younger suspect, who reportedly used a metal knuckle duster during the altercation.

The injuries sustained by the victim were significant, including a fractured orbital bone and several lacerations. Medical examinations confirmed the severity of these injuries, necessitating treatment at Famagusta General Hospital. Fortunately, the victim was later discharged after receiving appropriate care.

The two suspects are currently in custody, aiding police with their inquiries as authorities work to understand the full circumstances surrounding the assault.
