On August 17, the suspect was granted an eight-day remand by the court. During this period, he underwent a psychiatric evaluation, which led to him being deemed eligible for temporary hospitalisation. The police reported that medical professionals concluded he was “not able to attend court proceedings,” prompting the court to issue an order for his hospitalisation for a duration of two months.
After the stabbing, the man was initially arrested for breaching the peace as he shouted loudly when police approached him. Following this, he was re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, highlighting the serious nature of the incident.
