The arrest took place on Friday at approximately 7:00 p.m., following a judicial warrant issued after evidence linked the suspect to the incident. Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers plan to present him before a court today to request a remand order.
This latest arrest comes on the heels of a previous detention. A 46-year-old man was arrested on 1 April under a separate warrant related to the same case. He remains in custody as his case proceeds to trial before the Paphos Permanent Assize Court.
The investigation is rooted in an explosion that occurred on 30 March at a company’s offices in Paphos. The blast resulted in significant damage, shattering the glass of the main entrance and affecting the building’s walls. Crime scene investigators found an improvised incendiary device, which included flammable materials and a commercial firecracker, placed and detonated outside the entrance.
