The impact of the crash ignited a fire in both the 44-year-old’s and the 43-year-old’s cars, completely destroying both vehicles. The third car sustained damage primarily to its rear. Fire Service personnel arrived promptly to extinguish the blaze.

The tests revealed that the special constable had a blood alcohol level of 59 micrograms, significantly above the legal limit of 22 micrograms. Additionally, checks confirmed that he was driving without a valid insurance certificate.
