At approximately 10:45 pm, the 24-year-old driver received a call for a delivery in the Limassol district. After completing the order, he began his return journey when he was ambushed by a group of assailants.
The driver reported that the attackers were wearing hoods to conceal their identities and were armed with pieces of wood. One of the gang members allegedly brandished a knife, escalating the threat of the situation.
During the assault, one of the attackers shoved the driver, causing him to fall from his motorcycle. Although he sustained a blow to the hand, he did not suffer serious injuries. In a panic, the driver abandoned his motorcycle and fled the scene on foot.
After running a short distance, he managed to flag down a passer-by, who promptly contacted the police to report the incident. When officers arrived, they found the driver and his damaged motorcycle, which had been left behind.
