ludus merge — ludus merge — Cyprus-based mobile game developer Top App Games Ltd has announced that its strategy RPG, Ludus: Merge Arena, has surpassed $50 million in net revenue since its launch. This achievement highlights the game’s significant success and the growth trajectory that has emerged from the company’s roots in Limassol.

  • The game has fostered a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere, thanks in part to seasonal tournaments, battle passes, and various event rewards that cater to both casual and dedicated players.
  • Utmost Games, led by Vladimir Nikolsky, encompasses a range of interests in mobile, PC, and console studios, including Digital Vortex and Mamboo, alongside Top App Games.

The impressive figures, which also include $66 million in gross revenue, were reported by Greek business outlet Newmoney. The game has attracted a global audience, with over 11 million players engaging with it since its soft launch two years ago.

Initially released with just 25 heroes, Ludus: Merge Arena has evolved dramatically, now featuring more than 100 characters. Each hero can be developed and played in various ways, offering players enhanced strategic depth and gameplay options.

The studio has attributed this remarkable expansion to numerous updates and additions, including Clan Wars, Divisions, Hero Perks, player-launched mini-events, and Spells. These features have significantly reshaped the original merge-and-battle mechanics that defined the game at launch.

Moreover, crossover content has played a pivotal role in the game’s growth. A recent collaboration brought characters from Corvus Belli’s Warcrow into the Ludus universe, further enriching the player experience.

Vladimir Markov, chief executive and studio head of Top App Games, reflected on the game’s journey, stating, “We soft launched with 25 heroes, and we always knew the game would find its real shape in players’ hands. Two years and more than 100 heroes later, the people who play every day are the ones who built this game with us. Almost every system we have added started with watching how they wanted to compete.”

Ludus: Merge Arena is designed as a real-time PvP strategy game where players collect, combine, and upgrade heroes, each equipped with unique abilities. This allows them to build powerful decks aimed at defeating opponents globally.

The game has fostered a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere, thanks in part to seasonal tournaments, battle passes, and various event rewards that cater to both casual and dedicated players.

Founded in 2024 and part of the Utmost Games holding, Top App Games is committed to developing mobile strategy titles that blend real-time PvP mechanics with card-based RPG elements. The success of Ludus: Merge Arena has propelled the company towards more ambitious projects and a broader global presence.
