- Limassol hosted its first Market Access Day, bringing together businesses, trade officials, and EU representatives to highlight tools for expanding into international markets.
The event, held at the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was organised by the Energy Ministry in collaboration with the European Commission’s DG Trade & Economic Security and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve). This inaugural gathering aimed to equip Cypriot businesses with a deeper understanding of EU trade policy, the practical application of Free Trade Agreements, and access to European Commission resources designed to eliminate trade barriers.

According to the organisers, the Market Access Day served as a vital platform for businesses eager to expand their horizons beyond Cyprus. It provided opportunities for the exchange of experiences and best practices among companies that have successfully navigated international markets.
Targeted primarily at export-oriented firms and business executives considering international expansion, the event was delivered in English and was open to the public. Free participation was encouraged, provided participants registered in advance to secure their seats.
Keve emphasised the initiative’s significance in showcasing the opportunities and tools available for businesses aiming to bolster their presence in global marketplaces. With insights into EU trade tools and procedures, attendees left equipped with knowledge to navigate the complexities of international trade.
