The alarm was raised around 9:00am, prompting a swift response from the Fire Service. Crews arrived promptly at the location and were able to lower the vehicle’s window, gaining access to the car and freeing the infant.
Fortunately, the child was found to be in good health and was returned to their mother, who awaited their safe return at the scene.

Andreas Kettis, a spokesman for the Fire Service, noted that they often receive calls regarding similar incidents. “There is always an immediate response in these cases. Our members find a way to free them by forcing or breaking the window,” he explained.
Kettis also highlighted the increased risks during the summer months, when rising temperatures can make such situations more critical. “We advise parents to be vigilant and not act carelessly,” he cautioned, urging caregivers to take extra precautions to prevent children from being left unattended in vehicles.
