First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides emphasised the initiative’s aim to bolster small Cypriot enterprises during its third year. “Part of our philosophy is to open the palace gardens and surrounding areas for events that support local enterprises,” she stated, highlighting the event’s commitment to community involvement.

This year, approximately 100 participants are showcasing their crafts and products, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and friends. The Christmas village not only offers a variety of stalls but also contributes to a noble cause, as proceeds from sales will partially benefit the school for the deaf in Nicosia.

The festivities are set to continue on Sunday, with the village open from 11am to 7pm. To facilitate access, visitors can utilise the car park at the English School, where free shuttle buses are provided to transport them to and from the palace.
