The electricity authority of Cyprus (EAC) is rolling out smart meter installations across the island throughout December. This initiative aims to enhance energy management and provide consumers with more detailed usage information.

Installation Locations Across the Island
The installation efforts are concentrated in several key areas. In Nicosia, work will begin between Stavrou and Spyros Kyprianou avenues, as well as along both sides of Tseriou and Stavrou avenues. Dimostheni Severi avenue near the French embassy will also see new installations.
Expanding to Lakatamia and Beyond

Focus on Limassol’s Industrial Area
In Limassol, the EAC is concentrating efforts south of the industrial area, particularly along both sides of Agios Athanasios and Grivas Digenis streets. This area is expected to see significant upgrades as part of the smart meter initiative.
Updates in Larnaca
Larnaca residents can expect installations between Grigoris Afxentiou avenue, Archbishop Kyprianou avenue, and extending up to the port roundabout. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to modernise the electricity supply throughout the region.
Smart Meters Coming to Famagusta and Paphos
In Famagusta, installations will occur from the east side of Cavo Greco avenue to Protaras avenue. Meanwhile, Paphos will see work covering areas between Poseidonos, Apostolos Pavlou, Ayioi Anargyroi, and Melina Merkouri avenues.
Temporary Interruptions in Service
The EAC has advised residents that there will be temporary interruptions to electricity supply during the meter replacement process. However, these outages are anticipated to last no longer than 20 minutes, minimising inconvenience for consumers.
