This exclusive session featured eight research-driven startups presenting their innovations to a carefully selected group of 16 investors, venture capital funds, and corporate representatives from Cyprus, Europe, and the diaspora.
The fast-paced format allowed startups to deliver three-minute presentations, followed by two-minute Q&A sessions with industry experts. Cyprus Seeds indicated that the initiative aimed to connect leading regional talent with essential sources of private funding, including venture capital firms and business angels.
Annual Innovation Showcase Captivates Audience
The second major event, the fourth edition of Cyprus Seeds’ annual Innovation Showcase, or Demo Day, took place on Friday, May 22. This event attracted a full audience on the summit’s second day, where participants were introduced to startups and alumni companies from the fourth support cycle of Cyprus Seeds.
Motivational Talks and Thematic Discussions
The programme for the Demo Day included motivational presentations, a seaside discussion, and three themed panel discussions. These sessions brought together investors, mentors, scientific entrepreneurs, and government officials, highlighting the extensive support for the Cyprus Seeds model across various sectors.
Seven Years of Supporting Innovation
For the past seven years, Cyprus Seeds has focused on facilitating the commercialisation of scientific research and promoting deep-tech innovation in Cyprus. During this time, the organisation has assisted more than 24 academic and research teams in transforming intellectual property into commercially viable businesses with international potential.
Cyprus Seeds’ initiatives have led to the creation of several successful spinoff companies and licensing agreements. In addition to the startups emerging from its network, the summit also featured selected teams from Greece, the United Kingdom, Egypt, and India.

FREYIA LABS Ltd, Pitys.ai Ltd, which operates in both Cyprus and the United Kingdom, Podisense Ltd, MEDTL Medical Tech., Axioniq, Cluster from Egypt, and Cluix from India.
