The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has taken significant regulatory action involving the withdrawal of a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) licence and the initiation of liquidation processes for two investment fund compartments.
Cysec: Withdrawal of BrightPool Ltd Licence
On October 13, 2025, CySEC announced the withdrawal of the CIF authorisation for BrightPool Ltd, which was registered under authorisation number 378/19. This decision came after BrightPool Ltd explicitly chose to renounce its CIF licence.
Liquidation of SCITUS GLOBAL REAL ESTATE
In another development, CySEC received notification from GMM Global Money Managers AIFM Ltd regarding the initiation of dissolution and liquidation procedures for the investment compartment SCITUS GLOBAL REAL ESTATE. This compartment is part of SCITUS GLOBAL CAPITAL HOLDINGS RAIF V.C.I.C. LTD, a Registered Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF).
Until the liquidation process is finalised, SCITUS GLOBAL REAL ESTATE will remain listed in the RAIFs registry. CySEC has confirmed that the compartment will display a notice stating “under liquidation” on its website until all necessary documentation is submitted and the process concludes.
GRAVITY FUND I Also Under Liquidation
In a third announcement, AFICAP MANAGERS LTD informed CySEC of the initiation of a similar liquidation procedure for the investment compartment GRAVITY FUND I, which is affiliated with GRAVITY FUND RAIF V.C.I.C. PLC, also registered as a RAIF. Like SCITUS, the GRAVITY FUND I compartment will remain on the RAIFs registry with a notice indicating its liquidation status until the proper documentation is completed and submitted to the regulator.
