The RIF’s Director General, Theodoros Loukaidis, emphasised the importance of this event, stating, “Cyprus is now home to a new generation of visionary founders who are proving that innovation knows no borders.”

RIF’s commitment to fostering innovation in Cyprus is evident through its flagship programmes, which aim to strengthen local startups, attract private investment, and facilitate global scalability. Loukaidis remarked, “Our presence at Slush 2025 showcases not only the strength of our innovation ecosystem but also Cyprus’ determination to be part of the world’s next wave of breakthrough technologies.”

  • Movingdoors: Offers fully furnished serviced accommodation, streamlining the relocation process for professionals and companies.
  • Wedding Aliens: A wedding planning platform operating in over 18 global markets, utilising AI to automate venue and vendor profiling, providing couples with personalised recommendations.
  • Appreci: A digital platform connecting families to trusted service providers, using AI to match parents with verified educators and caregivers.
  • Mamatech: Creator of SOULA, an AI therapist focused on women’s mental health, offering support for anxiety and stress management.
  • Rinnoco: Developing PLATCOM, a machine-learning data compression technology that improves storage efficiency for big data applications.
  • MetaForge Labs: Innovating EYE-MOIST, a wearable device for continuous hydration in patients with Dry Eye Syndrome, replacing traditional eye drops.
  • Nanomicron: A spin-off from the Cyprus Institute, pioneering a patented process for nanomaterial synthesis with energy-efficient heating methods.
  • S.E. Compass Medical: Developing Rhabdos™, an expandable ventricular assist device for patients in cardiogenic shock, featuring AI-driven smart controls.
  • Algamol: Revolutionising algae production with a scalable, contamination-resistant photobioreactor platform aimed at sustainable applications.

Many of these innovative startups have emerged from RIF’s Pre-Seed, Seed, and Disrupt programmes, which have provided essential early public funding while attracting private investment.
