The fire erupted around 11:41am on Sunday in a fenced municipal area in Larnaca, according to the Larnaca Police Department. Emergency services quickly responded, sending three fire trucks from Larnaca and Athienou, as well as two additional vehicles from the Forestry Department.

Within approximately 20 minutes, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control, but not before all six vehicles sustained extensive damage. These vehicles were parked in a designated area specifically for non-operational vehicles.

Authorities have stated that investigations conducted by members of the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Fire Service revealed no immediate evidence of foul play at the scene. However, they noted that the area surrounding the vehicles had not been cleared of dry weeds, which likely contributed to the fire’s rapid spread.

As the investigation continues, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. The Aradippou Police Station is working diligently to uncover more details.
