The triptych unfolded in three acts, each one contributing to a narrative that examined the intertwined relationship between history and culture in Cyprus. Performers depicted various aspects of Cypriot identity, drawing on historical references while celebrating the present and looking towards the future.
The performance featured a local women’s choir, which added a traditional element to the proceedings, and a poignant solo performance by a young girl, who captivated the audience with her talent and emotion. Additionally, a visually striking sequence showcased nine foreign nationals against a grey backdrop, each articulating the word “present,” creating a dialogue about inclusion and shared experiences.

As part of the artistic presentations, archival footage was also integrated into the performances. A significant moment included the projection of the Republic’s first President, Archbishop Makarios, proclaiming the Republic, serving as a powerful reminder of Cyprus’ historical milestones.
