Defence Equipment Procurement
Under the agreement, French military industry will provide 85% of the defence equipment requested by Cyprus as part of the SAFE programme. This includes a commitment to involve Cypriot companies in the production of each procurement programme, ensuring that 15% of the work is shared with local firms. This approach not only enhances the capabilities of the National Guard but also facilitates knowledge transfer to the domestic industry, particularly in aerial assets and communications systems.
