Limassol is set to host the Cyprus edition of Unicorn Pitches: AI-Powered Real World Innovation on 3 December. This vibrant event is part of the global Unicorn.Events network, the world’s largest startup pitch contest, which aims to highlight Cyprus’s growing reputation as an international business hub.

Unicorn pitches: Showcasing Innovation and Talent

The Unicorn.Events network spans 125 countries and has facilitated over 500 events, helping startups collectively attract in excess of $1 billion in funding. The Limassol event will feature 15 entrepreneurs who will pitch their groundbreaking solutions to an esteemed international jury comprising investors and venture capitalists from Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East.

A Pathway to Global Recognition

The winner of this local competition will not only earn recognition but will also secure a coveted spot at the Unicorn Cup Semifinals in San Francisco in 2026, representing Cyprus at the Global Unicorn Battle in Los Angeles the same year. This opportunity underlines the event’s significance in helping local startups gain international exposure.

Local Expertise Meets Global Vision

Andrii Moroz, the organiser of Unicorn Pitches Limassol, stressed the event’s objective: “Our goal is to show the world that Cyprus is not only a place for leisure and business but also a true innovation hub—where global ideas and local talent thrive together. Cyprus has everything needed to create the next generation of success stories.”

Focusing on Key Technology Sectors

This competition specifically targets startups and teams working in crucial technology sectors, including AI, Fintech, Blockchain, and Sustainable Technologies. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications via the official Unicorn.Events form by the end of November, ensuring that they do not miss this opportunity to showcase their innovations.

Building a Strong Business Community

Organised by the Cyprus Business Club, a professional community dedicated to linking entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators, this event aims to position Cyprus as a regional centre for innovation and investment. The Founder of the Cyprus Business Club, Tetiana Diachenko, expressed her enthusiasm: “This partnership combines the global experience of Unicorn.Events with the strength of Cyprus’s local business community, marking an important step towards our goal.”

Anticipation of a Diverse Gathering

The event is expected to attract over 300 investors, founders, and innovators from more than 10 countries. Beyond mere recognition, participating startups will gain vital access to venture funds, global exposure, and potential international partnerships. Notably, the Cyprus Business Club also facilitated the Cypriot delegation at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, further emphasising its commitment to fostering innovation.
