A serious motorcycle crash in Ayia Napa has left four riders critically injured, sparking an investigation by local police. The incident occurred on Cape Greco Avenue on Monday night around 8:20pm, when two motorcycles collided under circumstances that are still being examined.

According to police sources, the riders were known to each other, which adds a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation. A 33-year-old man was riding a high-capacity motorcycle with a 22-year-old passenger, heading from Protaras towards Ayia Napa, when the collision took place.
The second motorcycle, ridden by a 17-year-old with a 19-year-old passenger, was travelling in the opposite direction. The crash resulted in catastrophic injuries for all four riders, prompting immediate medical attention.
The 33-year-old rider, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries including a fractured left arm, contusions, and a skull fracture. He is currently receiving treatment in the surgical ward of Nicosia General Hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.
His passenger, also wearing a helmet, endured multiple injuries, including pneumothorax and subarachnoid haemorrhage. He is now on a ventilator in the intensive care unit at Nicosia General Hospital, with his condition deemed critical.
The 17-year-old rider of the second motorcycle, however, was not wearing a helmet and sustained severe injuries including an open fracture to his left femur and a fracture to his left arm. He underwent surgery and is currently in the ICU at Larnaca General Hospital.
