The drinking water supply in Oroklini will see significant reductions on Thursday, as the water development department conducts essential repair works. The announcement was made by Larnaca’s district government organisation (EOA) on Wednesday evening.

From 5am to 7pm, residents will experience limited access to drinking water due to repairs on the Choirokoitia – Famagusta pipeline. In light of this disruption, the EOA has urged locals to exercise caution in their water consumption.

“Residents are urged to be particularly careful in their water use, in order to be able to satisfy their needs from the water they store in the private tanks of their premises,” EOA stated, highlighting the importance of conserving stored water.

As the repair works are set to last throughout the day, residents are encouraged to prepare in advance to minimise any inconvenience. This situation serves as a reminder of the critical nature of water resources and the need for careful management during maintenance periods.
