Two 30-year-old men have been remanded in custody following the discovery of over 500g of cocaine during a police operation in Limassol. The arrests occurred around 10pm on Friday when officers from the Limassol drug squad (Ykan) stopped a vehicle carrying the suspects.

Acting on intelligence regarding drug trafficking, police conducted a search of the vehicle, which led to the uncovering of a package containing approximately 510g of cocaine. The significant amount of drugs has raised concerns about the extent of drug trafficking in the area.
Following their arrest, the men appeared before the Limassol district court on Saturday, where they were remanded for a period of six days. This time will allow law enforcement to continue their investigations into the suspects’ suppliers and associates.
