Among the various sectors, transport costs demonstrated the most pronounced annual increase, soaring by 9.7 per cent compared to May 2025. This rise highlights the ongoing pressures on consumers as they grapple with escalating expenses related to travel and transportation.

In contrast, some categories have seen a drop in costs. Clothing and footwear recorded the most significant decline, decreasing by 8.5 per cent year-on-year.
