transfer applications — The University of Cyprus has announced a new transfer route for students admitted to higher education institutions abroad. This initiative is aimed at those who have gained entry through international examinations and are set to commence their studies in the 2026-27 academic year.
Applications will be accepted from 9am on July 1 until 1pm on July 15 via the university’s online transfer and second-degree application system. This move opens doors for students who have successfully navigated international examination pathways, including the International Baccalaureate and A Levels.
The university stipulates that applicants must meet specific academic criteria designed for holders of international qualifications. In addition, candidates are required to have confirmed admission and completed registration at a recognised institution outside Cyprus before they can apply for a transfer.
To be eligible, prospective students must be ready to begin their studies abroad and possess proof of their examination results. They must also demonstrate proficiency in Greek and provide evidence of their registration at the foreign university.
The application process is intended to facilitate a smoother transition for students aiming to pursue equivalent programmes at the University of Cyprus. By allowing these transfers, the institution seeks to support students in their academic journeys, enabling them to explore opportunities within Cyprus while maintaining their international educational pathways.
All transfer applications will be submitted electronically through the university’s dedicated platform, aligning with its established framework for managing admissions and transfers for students with international qualifications.
