Distribution of Hotspots by District
The 48 hotspots are spread across several districts, with the following distribution:
- Nicosia district: 19 locations
- Larnaca district: 14 locations
- Limassol district: 8 locations
- Paphos district: 5 locations
- Famagusta district: 2 locations
Nicosia District Hotspots
The Nicosia district has the highest concentration of collision hotspots. Notable locations include:
- 28th October Avenue between Asomatou and Paleon Patron Germanou streets
- Stassandrou–Pindarou–Androkleous junction
- Limassol Avenue, Aglantzia
- Athalassa Avenue and Petrou Eliade Street junction
- Vasileos Pavlou, Griva Digeni and 25th March avenues junction
Limassol District Hotspots
In Limassol, eight identified hotspots include:
- Franklin Roosevelt, Demokratias and Alexandria avenues junction
- A6 motorway near Erimi
- Spyros Kyprianou and Omonia avenues junction
Larnaca District Hotspots
The Larnaca district also has a significant number of hotspots, including:
- Grigoris Afxentiou, Archbishop Makarios III and Athens avenues junction
- A5 motorway near Kofinou exit
- Venetian Tower Street and road to Faros, Pervolia
Paphos and Famagusta District Hotspots
Lastly, Paphos and Famagusta districts have fewer hotspots, specifically:
- Paphos: Europe, Giannos Kranidiotis and Egnatia avenues junction
- Famagusta: Stadiou Street, Ayia Napa, between Monopetra and Almyrou Nerou streets
