- A car park in the Larnaca area
- Choirokoitia Archaeological Site car park
- Limassol General Hospital car park
- Kyperounta General Hospital car park
- Troodos Square car park
- Trimiklini Church car park
- Tombs of the Kings bus station car park in Paphos
- Polis Chrysochous bus station car park
- Famagusta Hospital Health Centre car park
Each charging station is equipped with fast charging capabilities and allows users to pay conveniently through a mobile app or card reader. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the transition to electric mobility.
The total investment for this project reached approximately €918,000, which includes VAT and comprehensive maintenance for the next five years. The Department of Electromechanical Services was responsible for the implementation of this initiative.
Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades emphasised the importance of developing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate a shift towards electric vehicles. He noted that such targeted interventions are essential for building a more modern and sustainable transport system across the island.
The Ministry has plans for further expansion of the EV charging infrastructure, indicating that this is just the beginning of a broader initiative to promote electric mobility in Cyprus.
