Initial investigations reveal that the collision involved two motorcycles. The first was being driven by a 19-year-old male, while the second was operated by Tsangarrides. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under examination by authorities.

Following the impact, both motorcycles overturned, with Tsangarrides’ vehicle subsequently colliding with a parked car. Emergency services were called to the scene, and both riders were swiftly transported to Nicosia General Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors confirmed Tsangarrides’ death shortly after their arrival.
The younger rider received immediate first aid and was later discharged from the hospital. As part of the ongoing investigation, he underwent preliminary alcohol and drug tests, with results returning negative for both substances. Despite this, a judicial warrant has been issued against him, and he is currently detained to assist with further inquiries.
The Nicosia Traffic Department is leading the investigation, working to determine the exact cause of this tragic incident. Community members are left mourning the loss of a young life, and discussions about road safety have emerged in the wake of the collision.
