On Friday night, traffic officers stopped the suspect shortly after 11:00 p.m. for riding a motorcycle without registration plates. Upon conducting a search of the storage compartment beneath the seat, officers made the significant find of two small bags containing 18 pouches of cannabis, weighing a total of 78 grams, along with a three-gram pouch of cocaine and a precision scale.

The young man was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Larnaca Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN) headquarters. He is being investigated for drug possession and possession with intent to supply.

During the traffic stop, it was revealed that the 21-year-old was not only unlicensed but also lacked insurance cover. Additionally, the motorcycle he was riding had been officially declared as stationary. Following a preliminary roadside drug test, he tested positive, adding to the charges against him.
