Heatwave: Weather Forecast for Today
Today’s weather is expected to be mainly clear, though intermittent periods of localised cloud cover will occur. Winds will initially come from the southeast at a weak force of 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to a southwest to northwest direction, becoming weak to moderate at forces 3-4 Beaufort. Along the southern and eastern coasts, winds may temporarily reach a strong force of 4-5 Beaufort, while sea conditions remain moderate.
Temperature Variations Across Cyprus
Temperatures today are predicted to peak around 37 degrees Celsius in inland regions. Coastal areas will see temperatures of about 30°C along the western shores and around 33°C on the remaining coasts. Higher mountainous regions will experience cooler temperatures, reaching approximately 29 degrees.
Upcoming Weather Changes
As the week progresses, the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday will remain predominantly clear, but localised increased cloud cover is expected during the midday and early afternoon hours. These conditions could lead to isolated showers, particularly in mountainous areas, and there is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms developing.
Thursday’s Weather Outlook
On Thursday, forecasts indicate that the weather will return to clearer skies, although there may still be intermittent periods of cloud cover. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly through Wednesday, with minimal changes on Thursday, remaining near or slightly above average for this time of year.
