The Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus is set to host the session titled Risk Mitigation: Commercial Background Checks and Due Diligence in China on February 26, 2026. This initiative aims to equip small and medium enterprises with the necessary knowledge to navigate the complexities of doing business in China.

Organised in collaboration with the EU SME Centre and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the workshop will run from 9:00 to 10:30 Cyprus time and is open to all interested European businesses at no cost. Registration is required via the official portal to access the digital platform.

As opportunities in China continue to expand, the organisers emphasise the importance of careful evaluation when selecting partners, suppliers, and distributors. The workshop will provide attendees with practical guidance on conducting commercial background checks and effective due diligence specifically tailored for smaller organisations.

Following this, at 9:35, participants will delve into the Due Diligence in China for SMEs segment led by Icey Xu, the head of operations at PSU China. This presentation will cover essential requirements for SMEs aiming to minimise risks while engaging in the Chinese market.
