The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is continuing the mass installation of smart meters in January across all regions in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos.

- The EAC announced that safe meter replacement requires a power supply interruption for a period not expected to exceed 20 minutes.
- In Larnaca, the installations will cover the coastal area of Larnaca-Livadia-Oroklini-Pyla, focusing on both sides of Ammochostos Avenue, also known as Dhekelia Road.
- Paphos will witness installations on either side of Tombs of the Kings Avenue, spanning from Apostolou Pavlou Avenue up to the Chlorakas Municipal Boundaries.
- The EAC's initiative aims to enhance efficiency and modernise the electricity infrastructure across the island, ensuring that residents benefit from improved service and energy management.

Smart Meter Installation in Nicosia
In Nicosia during January, smart meters will be installed in Strovolos. The areas affected include those between Strovolos Avenue, Grivas Digenis Avenue, Agios Prokopios Street, and Archangelos Michael Street.
New Meters in Limassol
Limassol will see installations on either side of Archbishop Leontiou A’ Avenue, specifically between Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Monis Machera. Additional streets involved in this rollout include Tagmatarchou Pouliou, Demosthenous Mitsi, Navarinous, Gladstonos, Agias Zonis, and Thessalonikis.
Larnaca’s Coastal Area Upgrades
In Larnaca, the installations will cover the coastal area of Larnaca-Livadia-Oroklini-Pyla, focusing on both sides of Ammochostos Avenue, also known as Dhekelia Road.
Famagusta’s Expansion
Work in Famagusta will encompass Paralimni, particularly on either side of Protaras Avenue at the height of Agia Varvara church. The Kapparis area will also be serviced, extending from the height of Agia Triada roundabout to Konstantinou Karamanli Street. Protaras will see installations along Protaras-Cape Greco Avenue, from the height of Protaras Avenue to the height of Symis Street in the Profitis Ilias area.
Paphos Installations
Paphos will witness installations on either side of Tombs of the Kings Avenue, spanning from Apostolou Pavlou Avenue up to the Chlorakas Municipal Boundaries.
