In addition to its taxation accomplishments, Cyprus also secured the second position in the EU for business incentives. This reflects the country’s commitment to creating a conducive atmosphere for innovation-driven companies, showcasing a range of attractive financial conditions that support entrepreneurial ventures.

When looking at broader indicators, Cyprus finds itself within the top 25 per cent of countries globally in terms of corporate tax, capital gains tax, and dividend tax rates. These figures suggest a competitive landscape that encourages both local and international investments.

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) commented on the index results, noting that they “demonstrate that Cyprus has strong foundations for further growth” in innovation-centric activities. The foundation emphasised that the report portrays Cyprus as having one of the most competitive environments for innovation in the region.

Furthermore, the RIF stated that supportive initiatives are in place to foster both scientific and commercial endeavours, reinforcing the view that Cyprus is increasingly becoming a hub for forward-thinking enterprises.

The Innovators Business Environment Index evaluates over 125 countries based on 30 parameters, which include operational ease, incentives, and global market perception. This comprehensive assessment highlights Cyprus’s progress as an innovation destination, showcasing its potential as a favourable location for businesses seeking growth and sustainability.
