An arsonist has wreaked havoc at a luxury car dealership in Limassol, destroying vehicles worth a staggering €180,000. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, around 4:15 am, when the perpetrator smashed through the dealership’s glass front.

According to police reports, the Romanian-owned showroom was targeted as the arsonist broke the glass display, doused the interior with flammable material, and set it ablaze. The fire led to the complete destruction of two luxury cars, one valued at €120,000 and the other at €60,000. Fortunately, five other vehicles in the vicinity escaped damage.
The fire service responded promptly, extinguishing the flames at the closed exhibition space. Costas Michael, head of Limassol CID, confirmed that preliminary examinations indicated the fire was intentionally set using a flammable substance. Investigators are currently assessing witness material to uncover the identity of the unknown assailant.
As for the damage to the premises, an assessment is still pending. The shop owner, a 37-year-old man, expressed his shock over the incident and stated that he does not suspect any individual or have disputes with anyone, as reported by Philenews.
